I have some International and District information for you:

International Convention and LSSP are soon approaching. This year, LSSP and ICON will be in Denver, Colorado! If you haven’t registered for ICON yet, you still have some time. http://www.circlek.org/convention/. Also, please register online; print submissions are no longer being accepted.

Here is a head’s up on the District’s goals for this 2008~2009 year.

1) Focus on retaining our current membership by better educating members about CKI and the Kiwanis Family through a more in-depth MD&E program.

2) Increase leadership abilities by implementing a more rigorous club officer training program.

3) Increase district membership by 21% and build five new clubs.

4) To have 40% of our membership attending district events.

Our new District Service Initiative is Project P.L.A.Y (Parks and Playgrounds Lead to Active Youth) The Initiative deals with building, rebuilding, and renovating recretational areas that are vital to community youth. We will be having our first large scale service project in the near future to kick-off support for the initiative. More information will be available soon.
